Many cats that end up in this sanctuary, for different reasons, once had owners.
They were left without families, without love, to suffer the hardship of living on the street.
Betrayed - without food, no warm place to stay, and no one to trust.
Betrayal breaks their hearts and hurts them the most.
What it takes to heal their broken hearts...
Feeding them daily in rain, snow, and summer heat.
Taking sick and weak to the vet clinics and bringing them home to let them recover.
Healing takes time - easy to say than to do.
It's all done by strangers to them that we call volunteers.
Volunteers, simply put, are people with kind hearts that are bigger than the whole world.
Yes, it hurts to look at them.
And yet, volunteers look at them and look after them! day after day.
It hurts...every time!
There is one simple thing that can help and we ALL can do.
Love your pets for what they are.
They trust in our kindness and willing to love.
Once betrayed, it takes them a long time to learn to trust people again.
Rest assured - this cat, that was abandoned by its owner, has been taken care of by volunteers.
And it gives back - LOVE.
We are not strangers - no more.
