My stop motion animation photo video studio DIY

My kid asked me to help him make stop motion videos.
It sounds like a lot of fun!

We can shoot pictures right on the table. A roll of paper may do as a background. Any HD web camera (or a better camera) and a lamp - it's the simplest set up.

A solid color sheet/ blanket/ spread works good for background, too. Plus it is enormous size!

Natural light is not a reliable source of light - it changes through the day. We need a light box to have control over the light. The table or rather under the table may serve for this purpose! Cover the table with the same sheet. We are already in control of the light and shadows!

Let's fix our under table light box. Here I have a table for the box, a window blinds for wrinkle-free background, a sheet to cover the box and the floor, a cord to attach the blind and the sheet to the box, and clips to secure the sheet to the cord. The cord should be long enough to wrap it around the table and then some.

Disassemble the blinds.

Pull the cord through the pipe of the blinds.

Pull the cord through the blind's stopper.

Pull the cord through the stopper on the other side of the pipe.

We can hang the blinds above the table and use this as a background on top of the table.

Let's attach the blinds to the cord under the table.

Tie the cord at the corners under the table.

Tie one more line next to the blinds.

Make sure the cord is not loose.

We are going to hang the sheet behind the blinds on this additional line.

Make sure the blinds work properly.

Place the middle of the sheet on the floor under the table. Attach the sides of the sheet to the cord. Tackle the corners of the sheet. Unroll the blinds. Congratulations! We have made the multipurpose stop motion animation photo video ultimate light box. Add some sources of light and you all set. Have fun and happy motion pictures :)
