Least Killifish eating Grindal worms

Least Killifish eating Grindal worms

Buy Least Killifish locally on Craigslist:
or Buy Least Killifish on Amazon (paid link):

I've been culturing Grindal worms for feeding my fish.

On the feeding day, I use a soft brush for scooping some worms.

Here you can see a breeding family of my Least Killifish is already waiting for the food.

Tap lightly on the wall to get fish attention.

And wash the worms off the brush into the aquarium.

The female gets busy catching worms right away.

Least Killifish females generally consume more food than males.

Less than 1 cm long Grindal worms make perfect bite size food for any small fish.

This big mom 🐠 is about 2 cm long for the record 🙂

Grindal worms sink to the bottom and they can stay alive underwater for over 15 hours.
Least Killifish males are smaller and they eat much less than females.

And here at the bottom you can see about 1 month old baby Least Killifish.

The baby also is eating Grindal worms.

The big mom also comes to the bottom for more worms.

Most of the worms get eaten by the fish in a matter of minutes.
Scuds and snails will eat clean any leftovers.

Have fun and happy fish 🙂
