I traded some of my fish for 3 Amber snails.
About 1 cm long Amber snails have very thin amber-colored shell.
Amber snails usually live in damp places with high humidity.
My 29 galloon paludarium seems like a place they may enjoy.
I've been growing land plants and mosses in high humidity on the land platform of this aquarium.
Actually, I setup this paludarium for keeping Eastern newts.
This tank is also populated with fish, aquatic snails, and terrestrial isopods and springtails.
Amber snails find plenty of food growing right here.
Here you can see an Amber snail busy devouring a wilted leave of Dayflower.
I don't need to provide them with any addition food.
Amber snails make a nice addition to the cleaning crew of my paludarium.
And here you can see some other cleaning crew members.
Isopods and Springtails.
They all coexist peacefully in this tank.
Have fun and happy pets :)
