Dragonfly nymph encounter

 I found this nymph in my aquarium a month after I got some water plants from the lakes of Central park of NYC.
 Apparently, it hatched from an egg I did not wash off from the water plants.

I found this creature in a sample of water and duckweed collected at a pond of the Central park of NY.

I found a batch of water snail eggs attached to some water weed while I was collecting duckweed for my fish at one of the ponds in the Central park of NY.

The pond in Central park of Manhattan is covered with duckweed in the middle of Summer.

Look at the ducks who enjoy it so much! No wonder we call it duckweed.

What flower is this?

It's amusing to see blooming flowers sprouting among patches of snow. 

I asked my 6 years old to find the name of this flower. 

He did his online research and I looked it up at the same time (scientists always independently double check results). 

We got the same answers! Here are screenshots of my research.
