Modkat Flip Litter Box

Modkat Flip Litter Box

I bought a flip litter box from "Where modern cats do their business" modkat.com - I like their slogan :)
Buy the Modkat Flip Litter Box at the Amazon link (paid):

The litter box arrived in a box with a smaller box inside it :)
Let's take it all out.

The litter box measures: 20.5"L x 15.75"W x 16.8"H

The full-height, seamless design prevents leaks and stops litter scatter.

The smaller box serves as a package for small parts and can be used as a free toy that comes with every Modkat litter box.

Let's unpack it gently and save the box for making the toy.

This litter box comes with a replaceable odor filter kit.

A ping-pong ball (for the toy box), and a sifting litter scoop.

Hooks for a litter liner.

And this is a reusable litter liner.

This is the flipping lid that promises three privacy positions for my kittens’ preferences.

This lid should help my kittens to do their business privately in my living room :)

Okay, let's attach the hooks by following the manual.

All assembling is done without any additional tools.

Simply snap it on, pointing the hook inside the box.

There are a total of 4 hooks.

Now let's put the litter liner inside the box and hook it up.

Again, it's all done simply without any additional tools.

This leak-proofed litter liner is reusable and should last up to 3 months.

Now let's use this clip to secure the litter liner by the entrance.

That's it.

Now I have to attach the flipping lid.

The litter box has three hinges on the back for holding the lid.

Just snap the lid into the hinges.

Ta-dam. All done. Simple and fast.
The fully assembled litter box looks good and feels made solid.

I like it!

The Modkat designed this litter box, giving great attention to detail.

There is a spot for hanging a sifting litter scoop on either side of the litter box.

The replaceable odor filter filled with 100% bamboo charcoal.

Let's attach it to the designated spot on the vent half of the lid inside the litter box.

Oh, there are two filters in the package - it's nice to have a spare one for later!

And again, attaching the filter is done simply by snapping it on without any tools.

All set and ready - just need to add litter to the box.

The branded ping-pong ball goes into the toy box.

Meet my kittens.
Teddy, Eli and Lisa.
At the time of this recording, they were 4 months old.

Lisa is showing you the free toy box that comes with the flip letter box.

It's a surprisingly cool toy box for kittens to play with.
More about it in a separate video.

The kittens spend most of their time in my living room, filled with a bunch of toys and cat trees.
Originally, I placed the flip litter box next to the large cat tree.

You can see it here with a fully closed lid.

Pardon me! Lisa is doing her business.

Kittens like to jump on top of the litter box - they do it just for fun.

The full-height walls work great to stop the litter scatter.

I still use a fluffy mat by the entrance for kittens to clean their paws from sticky litter.
The litter box, together with the mat, reduced the litter scatter to none.
This litter box turns out to be spacious enough to accommodate more than one kitten at a time. :)
Here we go - kittens sure to use it as a sandbox for playing too.
One kitten peeing does not stop another kitten from playing.

Alright, come out, guys, we have to play outside of the box.
All three kittens promptly figured out the main purpose of the litter box.

Here you can see Teddy using the box with half of the lid open.

Yeah, all kittens have preferences, and this flip-letter box serves them all!

Six months later, about-year-old kittens are using the flip litter box all the same.

I am very happy with this Modkat flip litter box.
Have fun and happy kittens :)
