My dog Gus is the perfect muse for this purpose.

 I use my old iPad to take a picture of the dog I want to draw. 

Open the picture in the drawing app of your choice. 

I use iArtbook app and a Stylus Pen to trace and sketch the dog in this example. 

It's a straight forward process with only one thing to keep in mind:

 All we need is love - LOVE is all we need.
