Wonder World of Simple Aquarium

Simple aquariums like this one, without water changes, no filters and no pumps, hold a world of wonders.

 Outlookers can but never get a chance to see those wonders.

 Look at this aquarium garden and you will see fish, plants and snails. 

And it's beautiful as it is.

A tiny self-cleaning and self-feeding wonder. 

There is not much action for outlookers to see.

You may notice often fish stay on the bottom in this wonder-world. 

That's where tinny critters that make this wonder world possible hide. 

That is where we can see a lot of actions in time-lapse recording. 

Snails, scuds, seed shrimp, blackworms, all kinds of tiny critters move around at the bottom of the tank. 

They work hard digesting all the waste and turning the bottom in an evermoving carpet. 

That is something we can see only in time-lapse recording. 

Those tiny critters and bacteria are the fundamental parts of this wonderful world. 

And not just in this tiny aquarium.

 Our whole living world is built and depends dearly on those bacteria, algae and zillions of other tiny critters.
