Low Light Plants

I've been growing different land plants with roots in water to keep aquariums clean and make my aquariums look more attractive.

Years of growing land plants in water shows that it is often simpler than growing the same plants in a pot.

And some land plants grow in low-light rooms or even in rooms without windows!
Here is a list of low-light plants I recommend for you to grow in low-light with roots in water.
 In no particular order.
Let's start with a Peace Lily plant growing nicely in medium to low-light.

Pothos, also known under many other names (Evil's ivy, Golden pothos, Money plant just to name few).
This Pothos has been growing in a very low-light room in a cup of water.

And this much longer vine has been growing in an aquarium with fish.

Next, I have a couple vines of Algerian ivy plants growing in very low-light.

Land plants grow in water differently from potted plants.
I have playlists of videos about each particular plant for you to check for more details.
Look for it on my channel or... just ask in the comments.

Let me show how far from a shaded small window these aquarium gardens stand.

And here you can see a very low-light Painters Pallet plant.
Painters Pallet plants perform well in offices without windows.
Keep in mind that live plants, as all living creatures, have personalities.
So, the same type of plants may perform differently under the same conditions.
Nevertheless, all those mentioned in this video plants have a high success rate growing in low-light with their roots in water.

And there is always one more plant to grow in medium to low-light rooms.
This is more than one year old plant.

Interestingly, stems of Inch plants are strong enough to hold this heavy load.
Wandering Jew plants grow nicely in low-light.

This branch is about 45inch or 115cm long! The Inch plant is the easiest and a very attractive plant I grow in aquariums all year around.
And wish you grow it too!

Have fun and happy aquarium gardens :)
